BankerWessel is an award-winning graphic design studio with its roots in the art world. We have served world-renowned museums, artists and photographers for more than two decades. We have extensive experience in linking art and commerce by creating visual identities, exhibition design, publications and digital media that is both original and commercially viable. We are a team of devoted designers and our backgrounds cover graphic design, animation, illustration, fine arts, music and even dance. BankerWessel is the author of Process – Visual Journeys in Graphic Design published by Counter-Print (UK).

Bio

Jonas Banker holds an MFA in Graphic Design & Illustration from Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design and Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles. He has worked as an illustrator for the Sunday Times, Nova, Bibel, Pop amongst others and has been teaching and lecturing at the leading design colleges in Sweden. He was during several years head teacher in illustration at Berghs School of Communication. He is co-writer of the book Process — Visual Journeys in Graphic Design.

Bio

Ida Wessel holds an MFA in Graphic Design & Illustration from Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design. Prior to that she studied Art History at the Stockholm University. She has studied graphic design at Parsons, NY and RISD and worked as a senior designer in London. She is part of several juries and teaches and lectures at the leading design colleges in Sweden as well as been special adviser and opponent at Oslo National Academy of the Arts. She was chosen as the designer of the year by the Swedish Graphic Companies’ Federation. She is co-writer of the book Process — Visual Journeys in Graphic Design.

Bio

Emelie Maxdotter is a graphic designer, animator and illustrator. She holds a BA from Beckmans College of Design, Stockholm. A BA in Media and Communication Studies, Malmö Högskola and studied Fda Illustration at Camberwell College of Arts, University of the Arts London. Growing up in Moscow, Dar es Salaam, Brussels and London Emelie has acquired a truly global perspective on communication.

Bio

Agnes Moström is a graphic designer and typographer. She holds a BFA in Visual Communication from Beckmans College of Design, Stockholm. She was born in a small village in the north of Sweden, but her love for design soon took her elsewhere. After working at a design studio in Marseille focusing on fashion, art, and culture projects, she relocated to Stockholm. Agnes is an avid lover of letterforms, music and everything remotely connected to France. She is fluent in English, Swedish and (of course) French.

Bio

Hanna Fideli Nordqvist has a background in fine arts, focusing on classical painting and drawing. She holds a BFA in Graphic Design and Illustration from Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design and graduated with honours. She is an illustrator, animator and graphic designer and on top of that a touring singer and music maker. She was born and raised in a family of creatives in Dalarna, Sweden. Her upbringing created the perfect foundation for a multidisciplinary designer and she moves seamlessly between all art forms.
