The Image of Greta

Fotografiska Stockholm

The story behind

The exhibition The Image of Garbo displayed the world’s largest private collection of unique Greta Garbo photographs and memorabilia. The challenge of this project was to create a coherent feeling in a big hall usually used for events. The exhibition team at Fotografiska divided the space into multiple sections. We decided to create a pattern in addition to the rest of the graphics. Inspired by art deco, old film rolls and late drinks in the sunset we made a custom-made design that could work throughout the exhibition. We covered the temporary walls with the pattern and got beautiful backdrops for posters and photos. We projected it on the main walls by the large multi-media system available in the event hall. The projections worked beautifully on the opening night when people walked by and were »hit« by the projected graphics.
